My approach to therapy is collaborative, as I believe a solid therapeutic relationship is essential in helping you gain insight and thrive in your life. I work to bring acceptance and compassion to the therapeutic relationship. Therapy is individualized, and determined by each person's needs and goals. My aim is to support each person through their personal journey. I take a relational approach, as I believe the therapeutic relationship is essential to facilitating and building change.
I specialize in counseling with adolescents/teenagers and adults. I continually strive to stay up to date with the latest treatment modalities and therapeutic recommendations. I am formally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Process Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Embodied Recovery (a somatic-psycho-social model for eating disorder treatment). I specialize in treating eating disorders: anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, disordered eating and body image concerns.
